Team-Based Coverage Policy
2008 Season
Based on the success achieved during the 2007 season,
Commack North Little League will again be using a team-based
coverage system for its Cedar Road Concession Stand. The purpose
of this system, which is used by many other Little Leagues
around Long Island, is to ensure that there is full coverage for
the concession stand throughout every day of the season. The
team-based coverage policy will work as follows:
- Each team will be assigned a “Concession Day” during
the season. A “Concession Day” will be either a Monday
through Friday or one of three (3) shifts on a Saturday.
- The manager and team parent for each team will be
responsible for identifying three (3) parents from their
team who will handle concession stand duties for that day.
- The parents who work in the concession stand that day
will have completed their Parent Participation obligations.
- If the manager and team parent cannot identify three
(3) parents to work in the concession stand and volunteers
from other teams cannot be obtained, the manager and team
parent will then be required to work in the concession stand
that day.
- As early during the season as possible, but at least
one (1) week before its scheduled Concession Day, the
manager or team parent must provide to Mike Ende the names
and telephone numbers of the parents who will be working in
the concession stand on that day. Mike can be contacted at

- If games are cancelled due to inclement weather on
your team’s “Concession Day”, we will either reschedule your
team’s shift or assign the parent volunteers to work other
shifts during the season. If your team’s shift has started
but is shortened due to inclement weather, the parents who
were scheduled to work that day will receive credit for
completing their Parent Participation obligations.
Please note the following with respect to the concession
stand and fieldhouse:
- Concession stand shifts will run as follows:
o Monday through Friday: 5:30 p.m. to closing
o Saturdays:
>> First shift: 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
>> Second shift: 11:45 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
>> Third shift: 2:45 p.m. to closing
- Only CNLL Board members and those scheduled to work
in the concession stand are permitted inside the fieldhouse.
Due to safety and security concerns, no children, including
children of CNLL Board Members and volunteers, are not
permitted in the fieldhouse at any time.
