Commack North Little League Tournament Team Tryout Guidelines

Selected Commack North Little League Managers/Coaches and/or Little League board members will conduct all tryouts.

A minimum of two tryouts will be conducted for each age group (three separate tryout dates are strongly recommended).

Travel team tryouts will be conducted by age NOT by team. For example, all 10-year-old boys will try out together even though there may be two or three teams for that age group.

Tryouts are open to all registered players in Commack North Little League who have attended at least half of the games played by their respective little league team.

Player selection and team placement are the responsibilities of those conducting and/or assisting in the tryout process.

Players that play for another outside program may also participate on a Commack North Little League summer travel team. It is strongly recommended that if a player plays on more than 1 team that priority be given to the Commack North Little League travel team.

Players may not participate with another team once their team plays in a District 34 Williamsport game until their team is eliminated from the Williamsport Tournament. This applies to Girls Minors and Girls Majors, the 11-year-old boys Williamsport team, the 12-year-old boys Williamsport team and the three (3) 10-year-old boys Williamsport teams.

During the District 34 Invitational a player may participate with more than the Commack North Little League team.

The summer travel season typically lasts from the last week in June through the first or second week of August (depending on weather).

Commack North Little League requires a commitment from parents and players. Typically, teams will play three games per week and have an additional three practices per week. Players and/or parents should consider this before trying out for a Commack North Little League summer travel team.
